International Staff
Toraighyrov University actively develops international academic cooperation and regularly engages foreign scholars and lecturers in teaching and research activities.
Currently, 19 foreign members of academic staff are working at the University’s departments under the Visiting Professors program on a part-time (non-staff) basis, contributing to teaching and research.
In addition, within the framework of network university cooperation, 5 foreign lecturers from Russia and the Czech Republic have delivered specialized courses for students of the Faculty of Economics and Law and the Faculty of Agricultural Sciences.
As of February 4, 2026, the University employs 512 academic staff members. The share of foreign faculty is approximately 4.48%.

For Foreign Academic Staff and Visiting Lecturers (2025–2026)
WELCOME
Dear Colleague,
Toraighyrov University welcomes international professors, researchers, and lecturers interested in part-time online teaching and academic collaboration.
We actively engage foreign academic staff to deliver online courses, guest lectures, joint modules, and research-based teaching within our educational programs.
This guide provides essential information about cooperation formats, requirements, workload, and compensation conditions.
COOPERATION FORMAT
Online Part-Time Academic Engagement
Foreign academic staff may be engaged in the following formats:
- Online teaching of courses and modules
- Guest lectures and intensive courses
- Joint international courses
- Research seminars and workshops
- Co-teaching within degree programs
- Supervision of student research projects
Teaching is conducted fully online according to an agreed academic schedule.
FIELDS AND PROGRAMS
International lecturers may participate in teaching within:
- Bachelor’s programs
- Master’s programs
- Doctoral programs
- Specialized professional courses
Priority is given to applicants with strong academic and research backgrounds and international teaching experience.
WORKLOAD & CONTRACT TERMS
Part-time online appointments are offered on a contractual basis.
- Format: online
- Employment type: part-time / non-staff contract
- Teaching load: defined individually
- Duration: short-term modules or semester-based contracts
- Schedule: agreed with the hosting faculty/department
COMPENSATION
Salary / honorarium depends on the applicant’s qualifications and experience, including:
- Academic degree and title
- Teaching experience
- Research profile and publications
- International project participation
- Course level (Bachelor / Master / PhD)
- Teaching workload and number of hours
Compensation is determined individually and specified in the contract.
REQUIRED DOCUMENTS

- Courses previously taught
- Proposed course/module description (if available)
- Proof of academic title (if applicable)
LANGUAGE REQUIREMENTS
Applicants should have sufficient proficiency in at least one language of instruction:
English-medium teaching is especially encouraged for international programs.
SELECTION PROCESS
Applications are reviewed by the hosting faculty and the International Cooperation Center.
Evaluation criteria include:
- Academic qualifications

- International background
- Proposed course content
Selected candidates will receive an official cooperation offer and contract terms.
