Toraighyrov University welcomes international students from partner universities through bilateral agreements, Erasmus+, and other cooperation programs.

  • Eligible students: Bachelor’s (1st–4th year), Master’s (1st–2nd year), PhD (1st–2nd year)
  • Duration: one semester or one academic year
  • Learning is based on a mutually approved Learning Agreement
  • Students earn ECTS credits, and an official Transcript of Records is issued after completion

Support includes: academic coordination, visa guidance, orientation, and administrative support.

INCOMING ACADEMIC MOBILITY
(Bilateral Agreements & Erasmus+)

1. Overview

Toraighyrov University welcomes international students from partner universities through:

  • Inter-institutional (bilateral) agreements
  • Erasmus+ programs
  • Other international cooperation programs

Incoming students may study at Toraighyrov University for one semester or one academic year based on a mutually approved Learning Agreement.

2. Eligible Students
  • Bachelor’s degree students: 1st–4th year
  • Master’s degree students: 1st–2nd year
  • PhD students: 1st–2nd year

Students must be officially nominated by their home university.

3. Academic System
  • Toraighyrov University uses the ECTS credit system
  • 1 academic year = 60 ECTS; 1 semester = 30 ECTS

Upon completion, students receive an official Transcript of Records detailing:

  • Courses taken
  • ECTS credits
  • Final grades
  • Grading scale explanation

4. Language of Instruction

Courses may be offered in English, Russian, or Kazakh depending on the program.

5. Support Services

The International Cooperation Center assists students with:

  • Academic coordination and Learning Agreement
  • Visa guidance and invitation letters
  • Migration registration
  • Orientation and general advisory support
6. Application Procedure

Step 1: Nomination by Home University

Send an official nomination to cam@tou.edu.kz including:

  • Student’s full name
  • Field and level of study (Bachelor’s/Master’s/PhD)
  • Study period (Fall/Spring/Full year)
  • Contact details (email, phone, WhatsApp)

Deadlines:

  • Fall: 20 February – 20 April
  • Spring: 15 September – 15 November

Step 2: Document Submission

Students submit electronically:

  • Application Form
  • Learning Agreement (signed)
  • Transcript of Records
  • Passport copy (valid ≥6 months beyond mobility)
  • Language certificate (if required)
  • CV / Motivation letter (if required)
  • Photo (3x4 format)

Step 3: Acceptance and Invitation Letter

  • Students receive an Official Letter of Acceptance
  • If required, an Invitation Letter for visa purposes
7. Academic Recognition
  • Credits are awarded according to ECTS
  • Official Transcript of Records issued after completion
  • Grading scale attached for transparency
  • Recognition guaranteed under inter-institutional agreements
8. Important Information
  • Study duration, participant numbers, tuition fees, and other conditions are defined in the agreement
  • Compliance with university regulations is required
  • Health insurance coverage is mandatory
